Kia Continues Positive Momentum in Indian Market Kia Sales In June 2026
Kia India maintained its strong performance in the passenger vehicle market by recording 24,552 wholesale units Kia Sales In June 2026 marking a 19% year-on-year growth compared to June 2025. While monthly dispatches declined by around 11% compared to May 2026, the company still achieved its best-ever June sales performance, highlighting sustained customer demand across its SUV and MPV portfolio.
Seltos Emerges as the Best-Selling Kia Model
The refreshed Kia Seltos emerged as the company's top performer during June 2026. The SUV registered 9,654 units, delivering an impressive 85% year-on-year growth and contributing nearly 40% of Kia India's total monthly sales.
The strong response reflects the popularity of the updated Seltos, which continues to attract buyers with its premium styling, advanced ADAS features, connected technology and multiple powertrain options.
Sonet Maintains Strong Position
The compact SUV Kia Sonet remained the brand's second-highest-selling model with 9,231 units dispatched during June.
Sales increased by 39% over the same month last year, underlining the continued demand for compact SUVs in India. The Sonet's combination of attractive pricing, feature-rich cabin and fuel-efficient engine choices has helped it remain one of Kia's volume drivers.
Carens Sales Moderate After Strong Run
The Kia Carens lineup, including its latest variants, registered 4,847 units in June 2026.
While the MPV remained an important contributor to the company's portfolio, sales declined compared to both the previous month and the same period last year. However, Kia continues to strengthen the Carens family with new variants and electric offerings aimed at expanding its customer base.
Syros and Carnival Add to Overall Portfolio
Kia's newer Syros contributed 790 units during the month, while the premium Carnival MPV recorded 30 units.
Although these numbers remain relatively small compared to Seltos and Sonet, they continue to diversify Kia's product portfolio across different customer segments.
First Half of 2026 Shows Healthy Growth
The company also posted strong cumulative sales during the first six months of 2026, crossing 1.63 lakh units, reflecting healthy double-digit growth over the corresponding period last year.
The performance has been supported by new product launches, growing SUV demand and an expanding dealership network across India.
SUV Demand Continues to Drive Sales
Industry experts believe the continued popularity of SUVs has played a significant role in Kia India's growth. Models like the Seltos and Sonet have consistently remained among the preferred choices for Indian buyers due to their combination of design, technology, safety and value.
The broader passenger vehicle market also witnessed robust growth during June 2026, indicating healthy consumer demand across multiple manufacturers.
Focus on EV Expansion
