TVS Ronin Stylish 225cc Motorcycle Gets New Variant and Modern Features

The TVS Ronin has strengthened its position in India's premium motorcycle market with fresh updates and a new variant for the 2026 model year. Combining retro-inspired styling with modern technology, the Ronin is designed for riders who want something different from a conventional commuter or street motorcycle. TVS has recently expanded the Ronin range with additional variant and colour options as part of its latest premium motorcycle updates.

Distinctive Retro-Modern Design

The TVS Ronin stands apart with its unconventional design language. Its round-inspired headlamp treatment, muscular fuel tank, wide tyres and custom-style black exhaust give it a modern-retro appearance. The motorcycle also features a distinctive asymmetric speedometer that adds character to the cockpit.

TVS equips the Ronin with all-LED lighting, including a T-shaped signature position lamp and LED tail lamp. Its specially designed nine-spoke alloy wheels further enhance the motorcycle's visual appeal.

225.9cc Oil-Cooled Engine

Power comes from a 225.9cc single-cylinder, four-valve, oil-cooled engine. The motor produces 20.4 PS at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of peak torque at 3,750 rpm. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox and fuel-injection technology.

The engine's strong low- and mid-range torque makes the Ronin suitable for everyday city riding as well as weekend highway trips. Its power delivery is designed around smooth, usable performance rather than outright high-speed performance.

Five-Speed Gearbox and Slipper Clutch

The Ronin uses an assist and slipper clutch, which helps reduce clutch effort and can make downshifts smoother. The five-speed transmission complements the motorcycle's relaxed riding character.

TVS also offers its Glide Through Technology, allowing the motorcycle to move at low speeds with minimal throttle input. This can be useful when negotiating slow-moving traffic.

Modern Technology Package

Technology is one of the key highlights of the Ronin. Higher variants feature TVS SmartXonnect, Bluetooth connectivity, voice assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, ride analysis and last-parked-location functionality.

The connected display can also provide information such as gear position, distance to empty and other riding data. These features give the motorcycle a more technology-focused character than many traditionally styled bikes.

Dual-Channel ABS and Riding Modes

The Ronin is available with safety-focused braking technology, with higher variants getting dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle also offers Rain and Urban ABS modes, allowing the braking system's intervention characteristics to suit different riding conditions.

Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm upside-down front fork and a rear setup designed for everyday comfort and stability. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch tubeless tyres.

Comfortable Riding Position

With a 795mm seat height, the Ronin offers a relatively accessible riding position. Its 1,357mm wheelbase and approximately 160kg kerb weight help balance stability with everyday manoeuvrability.

The motorcycle also gets adjustable levers on higher variants, allowing riders to fine-tune the control position. A 14-litre fuel tank provides useful capacity for longer rides between refuelling stops.

TVS Ronin Price And Variants

The TVS Ronin is offered in Base, Mid and Top trims, with differences in braking equipment, connectivity and other features. Current listed prices range from roughly Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 1.63 lakh ex-showroom, depending on the variant and colour.

Final Words

The TVS Ronin combines a distinctive retro-modern design with a 225.9cc engine, comfortable ergonomics and a strong technology package. Its riding modes, ABS, SmartXonnect connectivity, slipper clutch and practical touring characteristics make it a versatile motorcycle for both daily use and weekend rides. With the latest 2026 updates and additional variant choices, the Ronin continues to offer a distinctive alternative in India's 200-250cc motorcycle segment.
