Hyundai Creta Electric Price Range And Features

Hyundai Creta Electric Premium Electric SUV With Up to 510km Range

The Hyundai Creta Electric has strengthened Hyundai presence in India’s rapidly expanding electric SUV market. Combining the familiar Creta identity with an all-electric powertrain, the SUV offers multiple battery options, modern technology and a strong focus on everyday practicality. With a claimed range of up to 510km, the Creta Electric is positioned as a premium family EV for both city commuting and longer journeys.

Hyundai Creta Electric Battery and Range

Hyundai offers the Creta Electric with two liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery packs. The standard version gets a 42kWh battery and delivers a claimed MIDC range of 420km, while the long-range model uses a larger 51.4kWh battery with a claimed range of 510km. This gives buyers the option of choosing between a lower-cost configuration and a longer-distance version.

The long-range battery is particularly suited to customers who regularly travel between cities and want fewer charging stops during highway journeys.

Electric Motor Performance

The 42kWh version produces 99kW, equivalent to 135PS, while the 51.4kWh long-range model develops 126kW, or 171PS. The long-range version can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 7.9 seconds, giving the SUV performance that goes beyond its efficiency-focused character.

Three driving modes—Eco, Normal and Sport—allow drivers to adjust the vehicle’s response according to their requirements.

Fast Charging Capability

Charging convenience is another important strength of the Creta Electric. With a compatible high-power DC charger, the SUV can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 39 minutes. Hyundai also offers a 7.4kW AC wall-box charger for home charging, giving owners a convenient option for overnight or regular top-ups.

The vehicle uses the CCS2 charging standard, supporting compatibility with India’s growing public charging network.

Premium Interior

Inside, the Creta Electric gets a technology-focused cabin featuring dual 10.25-inch displays for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Hyundai Bluelink connectivity and voice recognition add further convenience. Higher variants can also feature a Bose eight-speaker premium audio system.

A panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and wireless charging are available depending on the variant.

Hyundai Creta Electric Safety Technology

Hyundai has equipped the electric SUV with a broad range of safety features. These include multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill-start Assist, Hill Descent Control and a high-line tyre-pressure monitoring system.

Higher variants also benefit from Hyundai SmartSense driver-assistance technologies, including functions such as Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Distinctive Electric Design

The Creta Electric retains the familiar SUV proportions of the conventional Creta but incorporates EV-specific design elements. Aero-style alloy wheels, dedicated exterior detailing and redesigned elements help distinguish the electric model from its petrol and diesel siblings. The SUV measures 4,340mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,655mm in height, with a 2,610mm wheelbase.

New Battery-as-a-Service Option

Hyundai has also introduced a Battery-as-a-Service ownership model for the Creta Electric. Under this arrangement, the upfront vehicle price starts at Rs 10.99 lakh, while battery usage is charged separately from Rs 3.90 per kilometre. Hyundai says the scheme is intended to reduce the initial ownership barrier for EV customers.

The regular Creta Electric starts at Rs 18.02 lakh ex-showroom according to Hyundai’s current listing.

Conclusion

The Hyundai Creta Electric combines familiar SUV practicality with zero-emission performance, advanced connectivity and impressive claimed range. Its 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery choices, fast-charging capability, premium cabin and extensive safety technology make it a strong contender in India’s electric SUV segment. With the additional BaaS ownership option, Hyundai is also attempting to make its electric SUV accessible to a wider group of buyers.
